All about Flush

Flush's ingredients work quickly to gently flush the urinary tract. Special ingredients alkalize the urine, making it less acidic, unlocking the power of d-mannose. At the same time, Flush delivers immune support and increases urinary flow with a gentle diuretic.

D-Mannose

Binds to microorganisms in the urine

D-Mannose is a type of carbohydrate that occurs naturally in small quantities in many fruits and vegetables including apples, peaches, green beans, and broccoli. Mannose is an important part of human metabolism and urinary health. It has been shown to bind to microorganisms in the urine so that they are unable to attach to the bladder wall.

Potassium Citrate

Alkalizes the urine, unlocking the power of D-Mannose

Citrate is the salt form of citric acid. In Uqora Flush, we have potassium citrate. When mixed in water, potassium citrate dissolves into potassium and citrate ions. Potassium citrate has an alkalizing effect on the urine, meaning it makes the urine less acidic. Potassium ions are required for proper hydration and replace the potassium lost during urination.

Citric Acid

Alkalizes the urine in a similar way to Potassium Citrate

Citric acid is a weak acid commonly found in many fruits. Despite being an acid, it has an alkalizing effect on the urine, meaning it makes the urine less acidic. Citric acid, along with the natural lemon flavor, gives Uqora Flush its sour citrus taste.

Vitamin C (non-acidic)

Immune system function

The form of Vitamin C found in Uqora Flush is called ascorbate. Ascorbate is the non-acidic salt of ascorbic acid. Vitamin C is also an essential nutrient, and is required for many processes in the body, including immune system function. It is an antioxidant, which provides protective benefits in the human body and is excreted in the urine. Vitamin C has been studied for its positive effects on the immune
system.

Vitamin B6

Gentle diuretic

Vitamin B6 refers to a group of compounds that enable proper protein, carbohydrate, and fat metabolism. The form of Vitamin B in Uqora Flush is called pyridoxine hydrochloride. Pyridoxine is found in many common plant foods like pistachios and cacao. Vitamin B6 is an essential nutrient, meaning that people need to obtain it from the diet to live. Vitamin B6 is water-soluble and excreted in the urine. It has a gentle diuretic effect and is sometimes used to reduce water retention.

Magnesium

Essential nutrient lost during urination

Magnesium is another essential nutrient lost during urination. It is required for hundreds of functions in the body, including the creation of DNA. The magnesium in Uqora Flush is in the form of magnesium ascorbate (the magnesium salt of Vitamin C) and magnesium carbonate (the salt of magnesium and carbonate, which is used to carbonate water).

Calcium

Acts as an electrolyte, aiding in hydration

Calcium is an ion that acts as an electrolyte. Calcium comes from our diet, and is required for a range of things, including bone production and strengthening, proper nerve function, and muscle function. In Uqora Flush, calcium is included in a salt form with ascorbate, called calcium ascorbate. When in fluid, these salts dissolve into calcium and ascorbate ions. Calcium intake needs to keep up with or exceed calcium loss in the urine in order to maintain proper bone mineralization and hydration.

Other ingredients

Provides Flush's color, taste, and texture.

Beet root extract: This extract from beet roots gives Uqora Flush its bright pink color and added flavor.

Natural lemon flavor: Made from dehydrating real citrus, our natural lemon flavor gives Uqora Flush its lemonade taste.

Organic stevia: Stevia is a natural, zero-calorie sweetener from the stevia rebaudiana plant, which is native to South America.

Silicon dioxide: Silicon dioxide is one of the most common compounds on earth and is found in many plants. Commonly used in food products, in Uqora Flush, silicon dioxide safely maintains the powder’s texture and keeps it from clumping together.

All about Defend

Defend cleanses biofilm and supports bladder wall integrity. Biofilm is a collection of microorganisms bound together that attach to surfaces, like the bladder wall. Mechanism research on the ingredients in Defend shows their ability to cleanse biofilm.

Curcumin

Cleanses biofilm and is an anti-inflammatory

Curcumin is the “active” compound in turmeric, a flowering plant commonly used as a spice that is a member of the ginger family. Curcumin gives Uqora Defend its yellowish color. Biofilm can build-up in the urinary tract and curcumin (along with the polyphenols from green tea) has been shown to cleanse biofilm in preliminary laboratory research. Curcumin is also commonly heralded for having anti-inflammatory benefits. The curcumin in Uqora Defend is extracted from the turmeric root.

We recommend talking with your physician if you're pregnant, nursing, take blood thinners or have a history of liver or gallbladder issues. If you take blood thinners, curcumin, an ingredient in Defend, may cause additional blood thinning.

Green Tea Extract

Contains EGCG & EGC, catechins that cleanse biofilm

This extract is mostly (95%) made up of micronutrients in green tea leaves called catechins, like EGCG and EGC. These have been the subject of much research on various health benefits and have antioxidant properties. Along with curcumin, catechins have been shown to cleanse biofilm in preliminary laboratory research. The green tea extract in Uqora Defend is from the leaves of green tea plants.

Vitamin D3

Supports bladder wall integrity

42% of all adults in the U.S. are Vitamin D deficient. The vitamin D in Defend is vitamin D3, also called cholecalciferol, the form of vitamin D made by the skin when exposed to sunlight. New research shows that Vitamin D supplementation increases tight junction proteins in the bladder. Essentially, these proteins connect cells that are next to each other.

Black Pepper Powder

Increases the bioavailability of curcumin by 2,000%

Piperine is the “active” compound in black pepper. Oddly enough, Piperine can increase the bioavailability of curcumin by 2,000%! Typically, curcumin has poor bioavailability, meaning our bodies don’t absorb the ingredient well on its own. Uqora Defend includes black pepper powder in a small dose to enable our bodies to better absorb curcumin.

Vegetarian polymer to make the capsule

Hypromellose – This is a vegetarian polymer used to make the capsule.

All about Promote

Promote is our specialized vaginal probiotic that contains 3 strains of healthy lactobacillus bacteria. Since Promote is designed for vaginal health, it's different from a digestive probiotic, but it is taken orally. Vaginal health is tightly linked to urinary tract health—so maintaining healthy vaginal bacteria is a key part of a healthy urinary tract.

Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Rhamnosus & Reuteri

The "good" bacterial strains that maintains healthy vaginal bacteria.

L. Acidophilus, L. Rhamnosus and L. Reuteri are specific types of lactobacillus that live naturally in high concentrations in a healthy human vagina. As part of their metabolism, they release acids that keep the vaginal microbiome balanced. When consumed orally, these bacteria have been shown to travel from the gut to the vagina where they can populate. Promote maintains this healthy vaginal bacteria, which is a key component of urinary tract health.

Other ingredients

Provides Promote's capsule and consistency

Hypromellose – This is a vegan polymer used to make the capsule.

Magnesium Stearate – This is a common ingredient in food and supplements to safely keep powders from clumping.

Microcrystalline cellulose - Microcrystalline cellulose is purified plant polymer. Cellulose composes most of the dry weight of most plants. Used as a bulking agent to keep the capsules tightly packed without extra air.

Silica- Also known as silicon dioxide, silica is one of the most common compounds on earth and is found in many plants. Commonly used in food products, in Uqora Promote, silica safely maintains the powder’s texture and keeps it from clumping together.
