How to treat a UTI

If you think you have a UTI, you should see a doctor for a urine culture. If the culture confirms you have a UTI then you will be prescribed antibiotics. As of now, antibiotics are the only known UTI treatment option available. Rising concerns over antibiotic resistance and Uqora's dedication to furthering urinary health research should lead to innovations in UTI treatment in the near future.

So how do UTIs happen?

1. Bacteria enter the urethra, travel up to the bladder, and multiply.

2. This triggers an inflammatory response in your body which results in a UTI.

3. Women are more likely to get a UTI than men because they have shorter urethras so bacteria doesn't have to travel as far to reach the bladder.
