Hydrate, pee, repeat

The best way to prevent a UTI is to physically flush out any bacteria from the urinary tract via urination. That's why this is our most important UTI prevention tip. The more water you drink, the more you urinate. Thus, if you feel a UTI coming on or feel dehydrated, consider that your body's sign to drink more water!

Know your triggers

The vaginal ecosystem is very sensitive so anytime the pH balance changes or there is an increased risk of bacteria being introduced to the urethra you are at higher risk. Common triggers include:

  • Sex

  • Exercise

  • Holding it

  • Hormonal Changes

  • Antibiotics

  • Menopause

Other Helpful UTI Prevention Tips

👉  Pee when you feel the urge – don't hold it!

👉 Pee immediately after sex

👉 Bring a fresh pair of underwear to change into after travel, exercise, and swimming

👉 Avoid drinking caffeine and alcohol if you feel a UTI coming on
